Autumn and Spring Breaks on St Martin's
An off-season break on the Isles of Scilly is an amazing experience. Imagine walking the solitary cliff-tops of St Martin's with only the gull's cry for company and the sea crashing on the rocks below. In Spring and Autumn the tourists of the summer season are absent and the weather is often still warm and pleasant. Fields of Scented Pinks dot the island from May to September so Spring and Autumn are ablaze with this light to dark crimson spectrum.
A winter storm on Scilly is exhilarating beyond words. Imagine returning to your cosy holiday cottage to curl up with your book by the window, looking out at the sea and the other islands. A time for contemplation, a time to unwind. Winter sunshine too, is at its best on the Isles of Scilly; the temperature is very similar to a warm spring day.

Imagine walking past the fields of Scented Narcissi, grown from October to May, seeing the pickers in the fields, visiting the sheds where they are tied on our family owned flower farm. While winter is a busy time on our farm, it is an excellent time to see how it all works. Spring, Autumn and Winter are a time to meet the locals, talk to the fishermen mending their pots, chat to the farmers in their fields, visit the pub and find mostly local people there. You can really get to know St Martin's. Particularly in the winter, St Martin's is the place to unwind, find peace, to recharge the batteries, to relax. A break in one of our holiday cottages will give you all the comforts of home with full heating and double glazing. Getting to St Martin's out of season needn't be a problem either, Skybus flies from Lands End, Newquay and Exeter. Once on the main island of St Mary's, we can help you to arrange the boat transfer to St Martin's. When you land on St Martin's, of course we'll meet you on the quay and take you to your holiday cottage.
